I'm Caroline — I’m a writer, editor and content marketer with nearly 10 years of professional experience creating insightful content for an international roster of brands and publications to drive readership, engagement and brand loyalty.
Currently, I'm the content marketing manager at digital marketing agency HawkSEM and a freelance writer/editor in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, I was the content marketing and social media manager at Gather (along with its online marketplace Eventup), and co-editor-in-chief and social media manager for Atlanta arts publication CommonCreativ.
Before pivoting to content marketing, I was associate editor for Modern Luxury's lifestyle print magazines Jezebel, The Atlantan, Modern Luxury Interiors Atlanta, Modern Luxury Brides Atlanta, and Men's Book Atlanta. Before that, I was senior editor for Little PINK Book, the #1 digital platform for career women.
I've written for The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Nylon, BuzzFeed, InStyle, VICE, The Guardian, Complex, Thrillist, PASTE Magazine, Racked, Brooklyn Magazine, The Daily Beast, Atlanta Magazine, and more. My work has appeared on websites and in online magazines, print magazines, zines, and chapbooks.
My fortes include writing for a wide variety of audiences, spotting grammar errors like a hawk, and getting to the point in as few (good) words as possible. My topic specialties include arts, culture, women's issues, food & drink, health & wellness, beauty, tech, and entertainment. I've got a penchant for doing yoga, reading about outer space, amassing crystals, and sending snail mail.
